Help send me to Japan

I’m one of the 12–13 year olds heading to Japan on an intermediate school trip. I’ll stay with a Japanese family on a homestay (about eight nights) and travel to experience the culture. Through December I’m also posting daily ukulele videos from spots around Auckland — a bit of Aotearoa culture, a bit of hard work, and a different way to fundraise.

Card or bank gifts via Givealittle (NZD). You’ll leave this site for their secure checkout — we never see your card details.

Why this trip

Why this trip

It’s more than sightseeing — language, culture, and learning with classmates. The heart of it is the homestay — everyday life with a Japanese family, not only sightseeing.

We’re fundraising family-and-friends style so the cost doesn’t fall on one household alone. If you can chip in — or share the page — you’re part of helping send me.

The December videos

The December videos

Through December I’m releasing about 30 short videos — one a day — of me playing the ukulele in different places around Auckland.

They’re meant to show a bit of New Zealand culture, and that I’m willing to put in the mahi and try something different from the usual fundraising raffles and sausage sizzles.

If a clip entertains you, a small gift toward my NZ$1,500 fundraising goal is more than enough. Watching and sharing helps too — your support means a lot.
